DEVELOPMENT GATEWAY is an interactive portal for information and knowledge sharing on sustainable development and poverty reduction. The Gateway offers:

> AIDA where you can find Development Projects through hundreds of thosands records shared by participating organizations including IDB, IMF, OECD-DAC, DFID, UNDP, UNCDF, USAID and World Bank,

> Development Gateway Market (dgMarket) which is a global online marketplace providing information on donor and government-funded tenders, publishing tender notices for projects funded by African Development Bank, ADB, EuropeAid, EBRD, EIB, EU Member States, Phare/Tacis and World Bank

 

SIMAP is the European Electronic Procurement Service launched by the European Commission in order to encourage best practice in the use of modern information technology for public procurement. Initially SIMAP aims to improve the quality of information about EU procurement opportunities and ensure that information is made known to all potentially interested suppliers. In the longer term it will address the whole procurement process, including bids, award of contracts, delivery, invoicing and payment. The European Public Procurement Network (PPN) is a co-operation network of public procurement expert officials, dedicated to European companies taking part in procurement procedures in other countries of the network than theirs. It involves all EU Member States, EU candidate countries, EEA Members and Switzerland. Public Procurement National Web Sites can be accessed through PPN; Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark,Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway,Poland, Portugal, Serbia-Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom

 

SIMAP also provides access to EU Databases such as Tenders Electronic Daily, CORDIS, I'm Europe, DG External Relations providing procurement information through Calls for Tenders in Europeaid Tenders & Grants (You may Click Here for Latest Opportunities) which include PHARE and TACIS Programmes under which European and Partner Country organisations/companies may offer their services under certain conditions.

WORLD BANK's Procurement in IBRD and IDA Financed Projects page provides information on Business Opportunities, and Monthly Operational Summaries reports on status of projects. You can also find information about IBRD, IDA, IFC, MIGA and ICSID the institutions that comprise the World Bank Group.

ASIAN DEVELOPMENT BANK (ADB) provides procurement information through its on-line edition of the ADB Business Opportunities and include Procurement Notices. Bidding for contracts is limited to nationals of the Bank's Member Countries.

EUROPEAN BANK for RECONSTRUCTION and DEVELOPMENT (EBRD or BERD) finances the economic transition in central and eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. The website provides information on Procurement Policies and Rules and Procurement Opportunities which may be accessed through its Procurement page.

INTER-AMERICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK (IDB or IADB) provides information on business opportunities in both English and Spanish for suppliers of goods and services from each of the IDB's  Member Countries. The main source of information about the upcoming procurement and business opportunities generated by the Bank's lending is the monthly magazine IDB Projects.

UNITED NATION's Procurement and Transportation Division informs about Expression of Interest, Vendor Registration, Procurement Plan, Tenders and Doing Business with the UN. UN Common Supply Database (UNCSD) is a medium which the suppliers may apply for registration. The Inter-Agency Procurement Office (IAPSO) - Copenhagen  explains How to Supply the UN and gives information on Procurement Notices and contract awards. UNDP's DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS is introduced as the Single Best Source of Consulting, Contracting & Export Oppotunities Worldwide.

EUROPEAN INVESTMENT BANK (EIB) provides information on Projects & Loans and further Info & News about developments with information on the procedures which apply for EIB financing with regard to tendering and briefing of potential bidders as well as compliance with Community legislation.
